Working with Azure Analysis Services

Azure Analysis Services is one of the newest additions to the Microsoft Cloud Data Platform. It is a fully managed (PaaS) BI modeling platform that enables developers and BI professionals to create BI Semantics Models that can power interactive and rich analytical experiences in BI tools such as Power BI and Excel. Join us to learn how to develop an Analysis Services data model from raw data, add business logic and deploy it to the cloud.

Guillermo Caicedo is a passionate data professional working as a Consultant at Nagnoi, LLC. He has helped numerous companies in successfully getting insight from their data by developing and implementing business intelligence solutions into their organizations. Mr. Caicedo has also extensive experience developing comprehensive web-based and mobile solutions. Guillermo is a Data Platform MVP that participates as a speaker in community events like SQL Saturday and technology user groups. He is the PASS and Power BI user group leader for Puerto Rico (PRPASS).

Introduction to data visualization with R: ggplot2 & more

ggplot2 is the most popular R package for data visualization. This incredibly versatile and powerful package allows you to create complex visualizations with simple code. In this session, we will cover the basics of ggplot2 and show you how to extend its capabilities with other packages. We will also provide some tips to consider when creating graphs.

Orlando works as Regional Statistician for AstraZeneca. He is a passionate analytics professional who shares his knowledge through his website Orlando provides training of data analysis and visualization with Excel, Power BI, Minitab and R. In addition, he organizes the Advanced Analytics meetings of the PRPASS Chapter.
