Troubleshooting SQL Server database performance issues

Join this session to learn about the foundational and important concepts related to SQL Server performance troubleshooting and optimization practices, including Waits understanding and bottlenecks detection in CPU, memory and disk I/O resources. You will also learn about using Dynamic Views to monitor user queries using extensive resources and the usage of Extended Events to detect and improve performance issues among other important events. This session will be delivered via video conference using Lync, so you can join us also from your home or work.

Alberto Morillo Rodriguez is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in SQL Server since 2008 and a very active member and moderator in the SQL Server Forums in MSDN and TechNet for Migration and Performance topics. Alberto is also a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) at Orange Dominicana. Among several recognitions he was awarded as Microsoft Community Contributor Award in 2012. Alberto is very passionate about communities, in his free time he also maintains his SQL Coffee blog and the Caribbean SQL Facebook group page.
